Frequently asked tattoo questions

  • We accept cash, all major credit and debit cards, as well as contactless payments like Apple Pay®, Google Pay®, and Samsung Pay®.

  • Yes, we take walk-ins whenever we're able to and are not otherwise booked with appointments.

  • Yes, of course, but we do ask that you limit your guest to 1 person at a time.

  • No one under 18 is permitted in the shop unless they themselves are receiving a service.

  • Firstly, if you are sick, please stay home. We understand you're really excited to come see us and get that new tattoo, but we value our health as well as the health of our families, and would rather not be in close contact with anyone sick for any extended amount of time. Secondly, being unwell can dramatically affect the healing process, and you should always be at your best when getting a fresh tattoo. Not to mention, your tolerance to pain and stress is lower when you're sick, which means that you won't be your usual rockstar self when you come to see us, and nobody wants that.

Please note that we reserve the right to reschedule your appointment if you arrive visibly unwell. However, we will make every effort to give you priority in our schedule to get you in as soon as possible once you are feeling better.

  • Tipping is a really nice gesture and is always welcome and appreciated, but certainly not required, so use your discretion and do what makes you comfortable. If you had a great experience and you are happy with a job well done, it never hurts to show it.

  • 18 years of age.

  • The cost of your tattoo will depend on its size, location, amount of detail, and the time needed to complete it. Pricing starts at $100 (shop minimum) and goes up from there.

  • $100

  • To secure your preferred date and time, we recommend booking your tattoo appointment at least two weeks in advance. However, the earlier you book, the better your chances of getting your ideal slot.

  • To get started with booking a tattoo appointment, please fill out the inquiry form on our Contact Us page or email us directly at info@legacytattoovi.com with the following information:

    1) Any reference photos or specific information regarding the tattoo you want.
    2) Where on the body would you like the tattoo?
    3) What size you would like it (please be specific in inches).
    4) Which day/time you would prefer to schedule.
    5) The best phone # to reach you at.

You're always welcome to stop by in person to discuss an appointment as well, but we can't always guarantee our availability to chat.

  • Yes. A deposit of $100 (our shop minimum) secures your appointment time and is applied towards the final cost of your tattoo. The deposit is non-refundable. See more information on our Deposit Policy below.

  • A tattoo deposit secures your appointment time, allows your artist to begin working on your tattoo design, and also serves to compensate your artist for their time if you fail to show up for your appointment. The deposit is non-refundable.

PLEASE NOTE, you will fully forfeit your original deposit, and an additional deposit may be required, if:

    1) You no-call/no-show for your appointment.

    2) You cancel your appointment without giving at least 24 hours notice.

    3) You arrive more than 15 minutes late to your appointment.

    4) You reschedule 3 or more times for any sessions of the same tattoo.

    5) You fail to reschedule a new appointment within 60 days of a canceled appointment.

  • No. Drawings or drafts are not emailed or otherwise previewed to clients before their scheduled appointment time. We are more than happy to make minor alterations or tweaks to the initial design during your scheduled appointment time. In fact, we expect this and set aside a bit of extra time for this exact purpose.

Having said that, if you have changed your mind about the subject matter or want drastic changes that were not communicated in your initial appointment request, this will be considered an entirely new design and may require a new appointment as well as an additional deposit.

Please note this typically only applies to larger tattoos or specific projects. Honestly, we're pretty easygoing about this, but it does need to be said.

  • This is at each artist's discretion, but generally, we will only tattoo your face if you are already heavily tattooed.

  • Not all artists in our studio offer these tattoos. Please enquire when making your initial booking. We do not offer free touch-ups for these areas, due to the fact that the client is informed beforehand that the tattoo will be on a surface area that is naturally prone to fading and rejection (flexion points fall into this category as well). If you would like those particular tattoos to be touched up, we will gladly do so, but at a rate determined by your tattoo artist at that time.

  • Typically, yes. We stand behind our work and always want your tattoo to look its best! We provide touch-ups free of charge (with the exception of certain areas; see previous FAQ) within 6 months following your appointment, so long as proper aftercare was followed by the client in accordance with our comprehensive Tattoo Aftercare Guide and there are no clear signs of neglect. We suggest checking in with us about 2-4 weeks after your tattoo so we can assess the healing process and, then if necessary, discuss any plans for a touch-up. Depending on the size and complexity of your tattoo, we will wait about 2-5 months after that to ensure that your skin has a chance to settle down to a more normal condition before getting touched up.

  • If you are seeking a touch-up for a tattoo done by an artist outside of our shop, our touch-up policy DOES NOT apply. We will gladly assist in doing the touch-up but at a rate determined by your tattoo artist at that time.

  • We suggest waiting about 2-4 weeks (or once all peeling/flaking/scabbing has ceased) before submerging your tattoo in water (ocean/pools for extended periods of time.
